Visar Jakupi: Youth is our best investment opportunity

Kipper has reached the top and that’s why  Telegrafi Makedonija  talked to Visar Jakupi to see how a company with over 500 employees and over 60 points of sale is organized throughout North Macedonia. Together with ECNWM we talked to Jakupi about the challenges and achievements of businesses in the country.

You have reached the top of the business, can you describe to us your performance as a company?

From the beginning of our work, Kipper first encountered the promotion of his concept to potential customers, which was not much known until those years in the local market. Our difference was the placed offer, the import of the selected assortment and quality assurance. We managed to get the buyer to believe in our services, which we accept as the satisfaction of our hard work and effort so far. This spring we have our 10th anniversary, where we started

from Tetovo and continued in 7 other cities in North Macedonia, where we now have 60 points of service, with over 500 employees. We hope to continue to be even more successful in even greater achievements that would probably also affect the public good.

What have you learned from all these years of experience?

Price is taken as the most important factor for consumer motivation. In addition to price, consumer behavior is influenced by other factors such as revenue and non-price factors (quality, services, promotion).

From all these years of work experience I can say that you should:

-Try to gain the trust of your customers;

– Set clear goals and follow them strictly;

-Improve details every day;

-Do not optimize, but maximize;

-Be honest with your suppliers and help them improve their business;

-Practice management with trust and control;

-Speak in terms that people can understand.

In addition to business success, you have employed many young people in North Macedonia. How capable is our youth to work?

With proven potential for innovation, youth is our best investment opportunity. Young people, who are smart enough and adapt quickly to work, are able to find new ways to solve problems. Our suggestion to young people is to first believe in the ideas they have, because those who try may fail, while those who never try  fail anyway!

What are your plans for the future?

 Investments in raising the quality and level of professionalism of staff such as various trainings by internationally renowned companies, implementation of standardization and control processes, use of software for cost optimization across sectors and other activities of a similar nature, are some of the plans that have already begun to find use in us. We also think of the development in the internal infrastructure of the company, which will be in more modern standards.

What is your message to young entrepreneurs?

According to the man who made a turn in the world of technology, and at the same time the owner of the most successful company in the world Apple – “Great work in business is never done by one person. They are done by a team of people”, our suggestion for all those who have business ideas, to increase business capacity and increase the chances of success, should challenge themselves and their ideas to unfold and implement. This is because “We believe that MIRACLES happen when energy, wisdom and goodness come together.”
