The aim of the project is to help micro and small businesses from Macedonia improve their compliance with legal regulations and business organizations engage in a constructive dialogue on regulatory improvement. The main sectors that will affect this project are: agriculture, textile, construction, IT and tourism. This project envisages 10 activities.
The main implementing partner of this project is EPI Centar International, while other implementing partners are: Economic Chamber of Macedonia, MASIT and Chamber of Commerce of North-West Macedonia.
The short-term impact of this project is to improve the capacities for internal and external financial and legal advisers and improve the flow of information.
The long-term impact of this project is the increase of financial and legal compliance of small and medium-sized businesses, harmonized business regulation as a contribution of the private sector and overall economic impact. Beneficiaries of this project are:
Start-up companies
Existing companies, identified and selected by implementing partners
70% of the total number of beneficiaries will be located outside the city of Skopje, while the rest will be located in the capital, at least 30% of entrepreneurs will be women.
Within the activities are included: voucher scheme, info sessions, trainings for internal and external consultants, creation of a unique information space, organization of forums for improving awareness and compliance with legal and financial regulations, development and distribution of checklists for self-control and “how-to” procedures and brochures, improving the chambers’ staff skills and strengthening their overall qualifications in terms of legal compliance, establishing co-operation and an overview of best practices from chambers in the EU , promoting a sustainable and independent platform for transferring business community needs to policymakers, developing advocacy and lobbying capacity of partner economic chambers, developing policy briefings identified by target sector groups, promoting ENER thing.
