President Qyra participant in the Economic Conference of the Embassy of Slovenia in Skopje: “What has 20 years of EU membership brought us in the economic field”

May 22, 2024, in Skopje, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia together with the Association of Slovenian and Macedonian Businessmen organized the economic conference entitled “What has 20 years of EU membership brought us in the economic field”.

In this meeting, eminent personalities of the country from the economic, political, and diplomatic fields were present, who followed the presentation of the development progress of Slovenia, but also the discussion panel with experts in the field.

“Slovenia gained financial and development advantages with EU membership, as EU citizens, opportunities for employment in other member states, opportunities to develop businesses within the EU, and many other advantages. The membership influenced the customs procedures by easing them and the same increased the competitive advantages of the companies and the Slovenian state itself”.

As a supporter of European integrations, the President of ECNWM Mr. Mendi Qyra was also present while demonstrating the willingness to be close to any event that aims to improve the state of our country in relation to the prerequisites for the start of negotiations with the EU and the successful conclusion of this process.

“The model of the Republic of Slovenia should be taken as an example, either in terms of the reforms that preceded the membership, and even more, as a stimulus, the achievements of Slovenia since the date of membership in the EU. Our country needs to be part of this organization, and that it should be done as much as possible to reach it one day earlier, because the time that passes by not being part of the EU is time in the loss of the potential benefits that it offers. The economy of our country cannot survive for a long time if we do not join and integrate into this large economic market”, stated the President of the ECNWM Mr. Mendi Qyra regarding the importance of the euro integration of the Republic of North Macedonia.

ECNWM estimates that the main focus of our country should be the European Union, and with this important definition of our country, no compromises should be made, especially political and economic type.
