03.02.2020, Skopje – Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia held a  meeting with the President of SDSM Mr. Zoran Zaev and other representatives from the same party. Meetings organized between ECNWM and political parties on the eve of elections have become a tradition, the aim of which is to present the Platform for Economic Development of North Macedonia developed by ECNWM, which includes priority policies and measures that will contribute to the economic development of the country. It is guided by the basic principles on which mutual understanding between the ruling party and the business community will be built.

The proposed platform was introduced in front of SDSM and includes reforms in sectors that are important to the country’s economy. Among the main measures proposed are: administration reforms, primarily the involvement of ECNWM in decision making and the creation of economic policies that affect the business sector; functioning of the rule of law, which is a key point in improving the business climate in the country. Particular emphasis is placed on the completion of the ECNWM’s economic development platform, including the completion of infrastructure projects as well as reforms in energy, agriculture, tourism, etc.

The President of ECNWM Mr. Nebi Hoxha said that ECNWM, together with the business community, influence the development of the economy in the country when there is mutual cooperation with state institutions. We, as ECNWM, believe that every Government should be committed to the content of the business sector, as it is a proven model for long-term economic development. On the other side, the President of SDSM Mr. Zoran Zaev stressed  that Economic Chambers have a very important role in creating  micro and macroeconomic policies in the country and have a very important impact on the development of the local, but as well as in the regional and global economy.
