President Qyra meets the Ambassador of Slovenia in North Macedonia, His Excellency Mr. Presker – Economic Prospects were discussed

February 3, 2025, Skopje – The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia held a meeting with the Ambassador of Slovenia in North Macedonia, His Excellency Mr. Gregor Presker, focusing on deepening economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the possibilities for collaboration were discussed with the aim of strengthening trade relations and creating new opportunities for businesses from both countries. President Qyra emphasized the issue of the workforce in North Macedonia, including the initiatives launched by ECNWM for reforms that would help retain the workforce in the country, such as increasing the minimum wage and reducing contributions, among other measures.

His Excellency Mr. Presker emphasized that Slovenia is also facing the issue of a lack of the workforce, due to the increased economic activity in the country. He also expressed Slovenia’s readiness to facilitate fruitful cooperation with the Economic Chamber of Slovenia to create new bridges between businesses in both countries.

North Macedonia and Slovenia share many demographic similarities and have a long history of economic cooperation. Slovenia is one of North Macedonia’s key trade partners within the European Union, with a trade volume of 277 million euros from January to November 2024.

The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia continues to be an important factor in representing the interests of businesses and promoting international cooperation.
