The First meeting of the Managing Board of ECNWM for 2025 was held
The first meeting of the Managing Board for 2025 was held at the premises of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, where key achievements of the Chamber during the past year were discussed, along with the main priorities for its further development and progress.
During this meeting, the efficiency of the Chamber’s management structures was reviewed, and the successes achieved over the past year were evaluated, reflecting ECNWM commitment and proactive role in supporting the business sector.
In 2024, ECNWM marked significant achievements, including the approval of the National Development Strategy and the enactment of the Law on the Prohibition of Unfair Trade Practices, which safeguards fair competition. Additionally, on ECNWM initiative, the review of the Solidarity Tax Law was initiated in the Constitutional Court, and contributions were made toward reducing VAT on apartments from 18% to 5%.
Moreover, lobbying for an increase in the minimum wage and a reduction in contributions remains a key priority, aiming to improve working conditions and strengthen the competitiveness of businesses.
Another focus of this meeting was the approval of the Annual Plan of ECNWM for 2025. Following extensive discussions and numerous proposals, the main activities planned for this year were outlined, with the primary goal of strengthening and enhancing the capacities of member businesses, as well as improving the business environment through strategic initiatives and concrete projects.
Remaining committed to economic development and the support of entrepreneurs, ECNWM will continue to play a key role in advancing the interests of the private sector and creating a more favorable business climate.
