Presentation of research: “Evaluation of the business environment in Republic of North Macedonia 2018”

12 February 2019– Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia organized informative session to present the survey Assessment of the Business Environment in the Republic of Macedonia in 2018”, from the experiences of the companies in order to give recommendations and remarks regarding the situation of the companies in the Republic of Macedonia. In a project funded by USAID “Partnership for Better Business Regulations” and implemented by EPI Center International, ECNWM together with partner chambers: Economic Chamber of Macedonia and the Chamber of Commerce of Information and Communication Technologies – MASIT, contribute to the establishment of public-private dialogue to assist companies in implementing the legal regulation by strictly enforcing the obligations arising from the laws and making concrete proposals for improving the legal regulation that tangles companies and is in a way an obstacle to their work.

The analysis presented today were based on a survey conducted by the company and analyzes the business environment in Macedonia for the third consecutive year. This analysis is the only one of its kind, real and highly relevant because it is implemented by the four largest chambers in Macedonia that represent the largest network of companies present in the market.

The purpose of this informative session was to present the topics that are an integral part of the daily activities of companies in Macedonia. Therefore, the main purpose of the analysis is to monitor the perception of the business sector regarding the legal regulation in the Republic of Macedonia. Analyses, conclusions and recommendations should provide institutions and the business community with information on the state and satisfaction of the business sector in relation to the applicable business regulation. Based on this research, institutions can make decisions to further improve the legal regulation that is a problem for companies to implement.
