Information Session for the new Law on Public Procurement held in ECNWM Today
In order to facilitate the improvement and implementation of the laws in the Republic of Macedonia, the USAID “Better Business Regulatory Partnership” project, together with the four main partners: Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, Economic Chamber of Macedonia , Association of Economic Chambers and Chamber of Commerce for Information and Communication Technology (MASIT), organized an info session on the topic: OPPORTUNITIES FOR REGULATION OF THE NEW LAW ON PUBLIC SUPPLIES AND QUESTIONS ON COMPANIES.
The purpose of this briefing session is to introduce the main innovations in the implementation of public procurement and to review how new legal solutions will enable the current problems to be overcome. The event will enable companies not only to gain new knowledge, but also to contribute to further business sector efforts to improve public procurement legislation. Thus, the open discussion will discuss whether the innovations in the new Law on Public Procurement, including: changing the concept of lower price and electronic auction, the publication of public procurement plans, as well as the possibility of direct payment of bids will be sufficient to overcome the problems so far in relation to public supplies.
