CLOSING BUSINESSES AS A RESULT OF PANDEMIC IN THE COUNTRY IS OPPOSED

Drilon Iseni, director of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, for Radio Free Europe said that businesses in North Macedonia have been able to survive for some time thanks to financial infusion from the state through measures to manage the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus, but adds that quarantining once again for a while will make it impossible for businesses to survive.

Our assessment as the Chamber (Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia) is that the measures in the future in the restrictive aspect should be as minimal as possible, because business, especially small companies can’t survive a quarantine as the one we had in the beginning of the occurrence of the pandemic”.

“We suggest that law enforcement agencies take more measures to ensure compliance with the recommendations for protection against the virus. “Closing businesses should not be an alternative during the coming period, as the whole year has been very difficult for businesses”, says Iseni.
