The management of the ECNWM conducts a meeting with the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning. Discussion on environmental policies

The Presidency of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia conducted an official meeting with the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Mr. Muhamed Hoxha. The purpose of the meeting was to congratulate Mr. Hoxha on the occasion of his new position as Minister, as well as to discuss opportunities for institutional cooperation between the ECNWM and the Ministry.

The leadership of the ECNWM, led by the Acting President Mr. Nuhi Aliu and the Executive Director Mr. Durim Zekiri, together with the President of the Assembly of the ECNWM, Mr. Nazmi Ejupi, the Honorary President, Mr. Xhemail Dauti, as well as members of the Managing board, expressed their readiness for continuous and constructive cooperation in the interest of sustainable economic development, improvement of the living environment, and advancement of policies related to spatial planning.

The Acting President of the ECNWM, Mr. Nuhi Aliu, emphasized the importance of the active involvement of the business community in the drafting and implementation of environmental policies, highlighting the need for regular inter-institutional dialogue. He stressed that the ECNWM serves as a bridge between the Ministry and the private sector, particularly on issues related to the green transition, implementation of environmental standards, facilitation of administrative procedures, and promotion of sustainable investments.

Also, within the framework of the discussions, the Executive Director of the ECNWM, Mr. Durim Zekiri, spoke about the importance of promoting green companies and encouraging sustainability in business. He emphasized that the creation of incentive-based policies for enterprises that invest in clean technologies, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices is essential for long-term and competitive economic development.

In this context, the Honorary President of the ECNWM, Mr. Xhemail Dauti, emphasized the importance of the Law on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management, highlighting the need for its fair and effective implementation in practice.

Minister Hoxha emphasized that the Ministry of Environment and Spatiall Planning considers the business community to be an important partner in building sustainable development and in harmonizing environmental policies with the real needs of the economy.

The ECNWM will continue to represent the interests of the business community, expressing its readiness for continuous engagement in initiatives that contribute to sustainable development.
