Economic development and business climate in focus of the meeting between ECNWM and First Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali

15.01.2026, Skopje – The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia conducted an official meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Bekim Sali, also Minister for European Affairs. The purpose of the visit was to congratulate him on his new position and discuss the possibilities of further cooperation between ECNWM and the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.

During the meeting, important issues for improving the business environment were also discussed, including the need for continuous lobbying towards creating more favorable conditions for businesses, addressing challenges in customs and licensing procedures for green economy initiatives.

The Executive Director of ECNWM, Mr. Zekiri, underscored the importance of developing a comprehensive strategy for the diaspora, in order to enable them to invest in the country and contribute to sustainable economic development.

Mr. Prime Minister, Mr. Sali, stated that public investments are leading the economy towards a new phase of growth, while also improving the investment climate. The Prime Minister emphasized the Government’s commitment to ensuring sustainable economic development and a secure perspective for businesses and citizens.

The cooperation between the ECNWM and state institutions aims to create a favorable environment for businesses and investments, opening up opportunities for sustainable economic development in North Macedonia.
