OEMVP welcomes the Minister of Finance

Today, at the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, the Minister of Finance Mr. Fatmir Besimi joined us for a meeting. OEMVP has always been led by the principles of acting like a connecting bridge between the public institutions and the business community, while highly valuing the successful cooperation it’s achieved so far and representing the interests of the business companies.

The purpose of these meetings, that have already become tradition, is to only strengthen the relationship and continue the collaboration between the public institutions of the country and all of the business companies. With the help of these meetings, we aim to build a real picture of the current business needs and necessities, especially during such hard times of the COVID-19 pandemics that have affected and touched upon all of the business sectors.

OEMVP requested from the Minister of Finance for the Economic Chamber to have an active role in the process of law propositions and regulations that directly affect all of the businesses. Similarly, OEMVP presented its own created “Plan for Economic Development in North Macedonia”. Moreover, the Minister Fatmir Besimi informed us about the fourth aid-package of the COVID-19 economic measures, which got approved during yesterday’s Government’s session and was also discussed by the business community.

In the frame of the “Plan for Economic Development in North Macedonia” that OEMVP has created and compiled, we presented and emphasized points in which the country should intervene and make changes so that economic growth and development is ensured and stimulated. These compiled points also included the COVID-19 economic measures that should precede for the recovery of the economy and the return to the normal economic trajectory.
