Drilon Iseni, executive director of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, in an interview with Portalb.mk says that that businesses, the demand for services and certain specific products have fallen during the pandemic. This further aggravates the business climate and local economic activity. The state must play the role of the protector of the economy bydrafting measures in accordance with the essential needs of the business sector. Any decision taken by the state must be well calculated. Everything must be well balanced. According to him, micro and small member businesses of ECNWM require facilitation of free movement measures in proportion to the positive development of the pandemic curve. And that the government needs to focus on medium-term plans to fight the economic recession, to save jobs, and that an economic program needs to be put in place to deal with the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
