ECNWM presents the economic platform to VMRP-DPMNE
18.02.2020, Skopje – The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia consistently discloses the demands of the business community to political parties in this pre-election period. This week’s meetings continue with the political party VMRO-DPMNE, led by Mr. Hristijan Mickoski, who is also the largest opposition party in the country. The real requests that exist in the business sector in our country, are grouped in the Economic Platform for Development of the Republic of North Macedonia, prepared by the ECNWM. The above-mentioned platform as an official document contains basic principles on which there should be cooperation between the business community and political parties which will be part of the next Government. It contains 93 separate proposals in 9 different areas.
According to numerous analyzes conducted by the ECNWM, there are sectors in which immediate attention is needed. First, there should be communication between the chambers in the country and the government, so that they are involved in decision-making and all policies that tangle businesses, to make reforms in state and public institutions, including the inclusion of chambers in the group of experts of the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development in the selection of projects of the first phase, construction of the Skopje-Blace highway, in order to improve trade exchange, giving special status to the Vizbegovo area, development of winter and summer tourism in Kodra e Diellit(Popova Sapka) as well as many other requests which will enable the improvement of the general climate for doing business in the country. It is worth noting that this platform is a document that is updated based on real business requirements.
Nebi Hoxha emphasized that the cooperation between chambers and political parties is very important in the field of improving the conditions of doing business, while on the other hand Mr. Hristijan Mickoski said that it was a very high-quality meeting and the requests from the ECNWM will be taken into consideration.
ECNWM as a legitimate representative of businesses, will always integrate their demands as a priority in relation to political parties, lobbying for the improvement of economic well-being in the country. This platform is the starting point for the realization of business requirements.
