ECNWM organized a joint meeting to promote products and products from Albanian lands
01 April 2017 – Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia in cooperation with the Kosovo Producers Club and the Albanian Producers’ Union today in Shengjin at the Prince Hotel organized a joint meeting of Albanian producers from Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia regarding the forum “Promoting Entrepreneurship” , production and products of Albanian lands ”.
This meeting was organized as a result of the Prizren and Mavrovo meeting, within the framework of the agreement between ECNWM, the Kosovo Producers ‘Club and the Albanian Producers’ Union where the main topic of discussion was the proposal for the creation of this forum.
In his welcoming address, ECNWM President Nebi Hoxha said that “We will continue to work towards eliminating administrative barriers, applying legislation, rule of law, improving infrastructure and business climate. We promote the innovation and competitiveness of enterprises, as well as the regionalization or internationalization of all businesses operating in the Albanian lands that deal with the production of various products. The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia is always looking for opportunities that are most convenient for our businesses. Co-operation is a must to expand into regional and global markets in order to be stronger and more competitive together.
Also part of the panel were Nikolin Jaka, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tirana, Hykmete Bajrami, Kosovo Minister of Trade and Industry, Driton Kuci Minister of Economy of the Republic of Macedonia, Milva Ekonomi Albanian Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Trade, and Astrit Shabani, president of the Union of Albanian Manufacturers.
According to the latest data, the trade exchange between Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo does not have much movement and it can be concluded that Macedonia has been losing the Kosovo market for years. We do not cooperate very much at the economic level, there is stagnation, so governments should have this long-term priority and objective. Many procedures have been simplified, we have cooperation agreements with the customs directorates, we are also committed to opening new customs terminals and strongly believe that the time has come to materialize them and launch concrete activities and projects, ”said Nebi Hoxha, chairman of the Customs Union ECNWM.
Nagip Fejzi, elected chairman of the Albanian Forum, said that with these initiatives, Albanian producers are continuing to cooperate and should be even more unique, however, with the support of state mechanisms.
The forum also introduced the new production platform for Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia and signed the founding act and statute of the Nationwide Economic Forum, after which delegations continued in Korça, where they will participate in the award ceremony tomorrow.
