The Philanthropy Forum 2024 was held
22.05.2024, Skopje – The Philanthropy Forum 2024 was held today, an event which brought together philanthropy leaders, the business sector, institutions, CSOs, as well as all those who have an influence on philanthropy, to put it into the function of sustainable development.
In addition to the member companies, the Executive Director of ECNWM, Mr. Durim Zeqiri attended the forum as well, who in the press release congratulated Konekt for this event and congratulated and thanked ECNWM member companies for their philanthropic and corporate social responsibility practices.
He also invited companies to join and participate in this initiative, with the aim of creating a real system on how companies should approach philanthropy.
Also, Mr. Zeqiri emphasized the importance of working to change the legal system regarding the Law on public donations and sponsorships in public activities, through which tax reliefs are enabled, which will serve as an incentive for the private sector to make donations.
Speakers from the region and from other countries shared best practices and values of philanthropy, emphasizing the need for collaboration and innovation in addressing socio-economic challenges. Discussions focused on community empowerment and improving the culture of philanthropy at the national level.
Part of the discussion panel on the topic “Business is the driving force of sustainable development” was Mr. Abdylezel Dogani, CEO of Vezë Sharri and at the same time member company of ECNWM, an outstanding company with good philanthropic practices as well as of CSR.
The Philanthropy Forum 2024 sent a clear message to all philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, policy makers, civil society organizations and media to join forces, create more opportunities, partnerships and new models of cooperation enhanced that encourage growth on the path to sustainable development.
In the end, the new “Op-Op” donation platform was presented, which offers opportunities for large impact donations to projects important to the country’s future.”
