ECNWM is one of the most vocal. institutions regarding the issue of population census in order for the state to have an accurate picture of the population and the analyzes that are carried out to be accurate and relevant.

The population census initiative after all these years will assist the Republic of North Macedonia in macroeconomic planning, demographic indicators and any analysis on the same. Failure to conduct the census has led to a lack of data on how many inhabitants the country actually has, how many households and what manpower the state has at its disposal.

ECNWM highly appreciates the cooperation with state institutions and in the spirit of cooperation so far with the State Statistical Office has disclosed this issue and calls for the census to be conducted in a transparent and professional manner in order for the effect to be positive.
