IPARD Program for the business sector presents opportunity for business development

Businessmen from the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia had the opportunity to get acquainted closely with the opportunities and criteria foreseen in the IPARD 2 program 2014-2020. ECNWM’s president Nebi Hoxha, said that the chamber’s strategic goal is for companies to reach financial assets. I appeal to all companies to take advantage of this opportunity and companies that do not know how to prepare their applications should contact us to advise and assist them in obtaining faster and easier funding by which they will develop their businesses. “- said the president of ECNWM, Mr.Nebi Hoxha.

Nikolco Babovski, Director of the Agency for Financial Support of Agriculture and Rural Development, emphasized that today’s meeting is of great interest to all, both to the AFSAFRD and to the member companies of the ECNWM. Babovski emphasized that only with quality applications and a shared commitment to making investments, we can attract more funds out of the available € 25 million total with current Calls for Measures one and three.

“It is very important to work together to modernize existing ones, build new capacities in the agro-sector and create value-added products. Only in this way we can ensure higher quality of domestic products, higher economic growth and greater access of funds to the coffers of local enterprises, but also to the coffers of the state, which in turn means both the creation of new jobs and new markets. – emphasized the director of AFBDR, Nikolce Babovski.

Representatives of the IPARD Governing Body stated that with the help of Measure 3 “Investments in Material Resources for Processing of Fish and Fish Products” companies will be able to invest in;

“The processing capacities of milk and dairy products, meat and meat products, including poultry and eggs. Then the processing of fruits, vegetables, cereals, flour and starch products, wine and vinegar processing where half of the invested funds will be co-financed or refunded 50 percent of the money approved as eligible expenses. The call for this measure is open until January 29 and a total of 13m euros are available – said Zivko Brajkovski, head of the IPARD Governance Body at the MBPEU.

He also said that the call for measure 1 “Investments in Material Resources for Agricultural Enterprises” is open until 9 February, namely to build or rebuild facilities for cattle feed, food storage, cooling capacity calibration and packaging the agricultural products. Machinery and equipment for agriculture, point-to-point systems, but not tractors can also be procured because the budget for this purpose was used with the previous call. The total financial support for this public call is around 12 million euros.

Otherwise, the Governing Body with IPARD, MBPEU and the Agency for Financial Support of Agriculture and Rural Development launched a strong promotion campaign for IPARD 2 2014-2020, which will last 18 months, within which 3 forums, 6 workshops will be held and 80 day info.
