“Economics Olympiad: Innovation and Rewards for the Youth in Tetovo”

11.05.2024, Tetovo – The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia participated in the National Round of the Economics Olympiad, organized by the South East European University, in cooperation with the Liberal Alternative Institute and the Economic Bases Initiative from the USA.

The Executive Director of ECNWM, Mr. Durim Zeqiri participated in this event as a panelist, discussing on topic “Economic innovations led by youth” and offering students the perspective from the business world.

He emphasized the role of innovation in strengthening the economy of North Macedonia, especially in relation to the youth. Promoting innovation is key to increasing competitiveness and creating employment opportunities. In a rapidly evolving global market, it is important for young people to develop their skills to meet market demands. This commitment to innovation and skills development is vital to creating a sustainable and diversified economy for the country’s future, but this can be achieved by collaborating with government and academic institutions.

Also, Mr. Zeqiri also distributed three awards to the excellent students of this University, wishing them greater success in the future.

The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia is a big supporter of the youth and youth retention in our country, describing them as the greatest asset for economic development and growth.
