Skopje, 19.11.2025 – In an atmosphere where the national economy truly took the stage it deserves, the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia organized the 16th edition of TOP 100™ 2025, the most important and anticipated event of the year, which this year was crowned with the 20th anniversary of ECNWM’s establishment.
With over 400 attendees, among them the President of the Assembly, Prime Minister, ministers, ambassadors, institutional leaders, international partners, and above all an extraordinary presence of our companies, ECNWM once again demonstrated its economic relevance, the strength of the business community, and its role in the country’s development.
The event was opened by the host, Acting President of ECNWM, Mr. Nuhi Aliu, who emphasized the importance of this edition by highlighting that the 20th anniversary marks not only the recognition of companies’ achievements but also their journey built on vision, determination, and dedication. He also emphasized that the Chamber remains the most trusted institution and the key partner that connects businesses with institutions.
These messages were supported by concrete figures presented at the event. The total revenues of the TOP 100 companies for 2024 reached 1.7 billion euros, with a cumulative net profit of 135.4 million euros, the highest level in the last ten years, while the number of employees on this list reached 10,794, of which 5,206 came from the TOP 10 alone. These figures are not just statistics, but a reflection of their impact on the country’s economy.
The evening continued with the speech of the former President of ECNWM, Mr. Mendi Qyra, who led the Chamber for three years with integrity and vision. He was also presented with an Award of Appreciation by the Managing Board for his valuable contribution to strengthening the institution and advancing key processes for the private sector.
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, in his speech, emphasized that the future is built through close cooperation between the Government and the business community, stressing that both sides must stand on the same side. He underlined that the Government will continue to be a reliable partner to the private sector and that today’s event itself proves that success and growth are entirely achievable.
Keeping companies at the center of attention, the event also featured awards for outstanding achievements in several business categories.
NITA’S FACE CARE was honored with the “Successful Woman in Business” award, while VARUS received the award for “Most Successful Partnership.” This year’s title of “Top Exporter” was awarded to BENTON-NI, whereas the award for “Top Investments,” with a value of 4.4 million euros in 2024, went to ATS GROUP. Thanks to their efforts, for the first time the state lost a case of this kind, paving the way for the return of 49 million euros to the accounts of the affected companies.
The Executive Director highlighted the dynamic work of ECNWM throughout the year and presented the ranking methodology of the TOP 5 companies, emphasizing transparency, accuracy, and professional standards that make this process unique in the country.
