ECNWM on an official visit to the Municipality of Cair. Partnership discussed for strengthening the private sector operating in this municipality

The leadership of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, represented by Nuhi Aliu, Acting President, Durim Zekiri, Executive Director, and Sami Morina, Coordinator of the Construction, Urbanism, Environment and Energy Group, conducted a visit to Mr. Izet Mexhiti on the occasion of his appointment as the new Mayor of the Municipality of Cair.
During the meeting, the continuation of the existing cooperation was confirmed, and the next steps were discussed for strengthening joint activities that support economic development and local entrepreneurship. Furthermore, discussions were held on advancing projects that directly contribute to business growth and the improvement of the economic climate in the Municipality of Cair.
It was emphasized that municipalities need to focus their budgets on development policies by creating space for the economy and new businesses, enabling institutional self-sustainability, which in turn accelerates decentralization and reduces full dependence on the central government.
ECNWM will continue to be an active and supportive partner in initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of the community and the country’s economy.
