The Acting President of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, Mr. Nuhi Aliu, together with the Executive Director, Mr. Durim Zekiri, the Vice President, Mr. Shpresim Tairi, and the member of the Managing board, Mr. Reshat Musliu, held a meeting with the President of the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Afrim Gashi.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen institutional cooperation between the Parliament and the business community, as well as to officially introduce the new Acting President of ECNWM.
During the discussions, Mr. Aliu emphasized the importance of the business community being informed in a timely manner about laws and other legal acts that directly affect their economic activity. Furthermore, the Executive Director, Mr. Durim Zekiri, reiterated ECNWM’s continuous request to reduce VAT on apartment sales from 18% to 5%, as a measure that would stimulate the construction sector and the economy as a whole.
The President of the Parliament, Mr. Afrim Gashi, in response, expressed his willingness to enhance communication and cooperation with ECNWM in addressing issues of interest to the private sector.
The member of the Managing Board, Mr. Reshat Musliu, stressed the need to establish a strong connection between the state and the business community, which would enable more effective cooperation and tangible results for both sides.
