19.09.2024, Skopje – The Executive Director of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, Mr. Zeqiri, together with the member of the Managing Board, Ms. Qanije Selimi, held a meeting with the newly appointed Director of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion, Mr. Refik Xhemaili.

The focus of the meeting was the creation of new collaborations, especially in strategic sectors that can support sustainable economic growth. Another important topic was the Law on Financial Support of Investments, emphasizing the need to review and revise some of its parts.

Mr. Zeqiri congratulated Mr. Xhemaili on his new position, emphasizing that ECNWM has been and remains an important partner in the creation of policies that promote the economic development of the country and that through close cooperation with relevant institutions and the private sector, the Chamber has contributed to the construction of a more favorable environment for businesses and investors.

Also, Mr. Zeqiri expressed the readiness of ECNWM to continue and deepen this partnership and to work together to achieve the common goals of both parties.

On the other hand, Mr. Xhemaili said that export promotion remains a key priority for economic growth and that they are committed to increasing the country’s export capacity through the promotion of foreign investments and the improvement of infrastructure. However, he also emphasized that institutional cooperation remains a worrying issue that requires special attention to improve coordination and create a more favorable environment for investors.

The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, as a pillar of any business, is open to cooperation with all relevant institutions to improve the economic environment and ensure sustainable development of the country.
