Acting President of ECNWM
Nuhi Aliu was born on May 7, 1960, in Skopje, North Macedonia. He completed his primary and secondary education in Skopje with excellent results, standing out for his dedication and early academic abilities. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Prishtina, where he also successfully completed his master’s studies in Finance.
With over two decades of business experience, Nuhi Aliu is one of the most successful Albanian entrepreneurs in North Macedonia, known for his clear vision and commitment to regional economic development. His entrepreneurial journey began in the mid-1990s in Skopje with the family’s first business in the trade of construction materials. After the end of the war in Kosovo in 1999, he founded the first branch of “Euro Aktiva 2000” in Ferizaj, responding to the high demand for reconstruction and supply of construction materials in post-war Kosovo.
His long-term vision and ability to identify market opportunities transformed the company into one of the most stable and fast-growing businesses in the region. Today, under his leadership, Euro Aktiva has developed into a business group with a broad presence in several strategic sectors: trade and processing of iron and construction materials, supply and maintenance of fuel pumps, real estate development including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, as well as the hospitality and gastronomy sectors.
In 2023, the company opened Hotel “Actor” and the panoramic restaurant “Noas Rooftop”, offering a modern accommodation and culinary experience with a unique view of the city. Euro Aktiva operates on strong values such as trust, quality, and long-term vision, building lasting partnerships and significantly contributing to regional economic development.
His engagement in the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia began from its founding in 2005. Since 2011, he has been an active member of its leadership structures, and in 2022 he was elected Vice President of the Managing Board. In 2025, he was appointed Acting President of ECNWM, continuing his contribution to economic development and increasing opportunities for businesses in the region.
In addition to his business achievements, Nuhi Aliu is widely recognized for his generosity and charitable activities. For years, he has supported families in need with financial and material assistance, built dozens of houses for poor families, and helped people with serious health problems by covering all costs for medical treatment abroad.
For Nuhi Aliu, the success of a business is not measured solely by profit, but also by its impact on the community, believing that entrepreneurship should be a driving force for social and economic development.
