In the premises of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, the Executive Director, Mr. Zeqiri, welcomed to a meeting representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade to discuss potential collaboration with the member companies of the Chamber.
Zeqiri presented the work and dynamics of the Chamber, highlighting key strategic points within the Platform for Economic Development of North Macedonia. The importance of a sufficient and qualified workforce was emphasized, along with a diverse and developmental economy that prevents emigration. In this regard, ECNWM has actively proposed specific measures to address this phenomenon. The discussion also covered the Chamber’s member companies that engage in exports, contributing to the economic well-being of North Macedonia.
The Advisor at the Directorate for Economic and Public Diplomacy, Mr. Draganco Apostolovski, expressed their readiness, along with other Ministry representatives, to cooperate with companies that export, so that they can be promoted in international markets, but also to contribute to reducing the trade deficit, which in 2024 marks 3,281.2 million euros, or import coverage by export at 70.3%.
ECNWM remains committed to strengthening cooperation to create more effective economic development policies, enhance competitiveness, and promote exports in foreign markets.
