The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia organized a Solemn Event on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its establishment, marking two decades of commitment to representing and advancing the interests of the business community.
This important jubilee brought together hundreds of representatives of state institutions, the business community, local and international partners, as well as numerous guests, who together reflected on the journey so far and the contribution of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia to the economic development of the country.
The first crucial meeting was recalled, which also started the initiative of establishing the Chamber on December 4, 2004, which would change the trajectory of the country’s business and economy forever.
The Acting President of the ECNWM, in his speech, emphasized that “In this journey, the ECNWM must remain the home of Albanian business, an institution that not only listens, but acts, not only represents, but protects the interests of our businessmen, today and for generations to come. We have a strong diaspora, talented young people and extraordinary potential. What we need is to continue to believe in each other and move forward together.”
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Afrim Gashi, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Mr. Aleksandar Nikoloski, also gave a welcoming speech.
The documentary of the 20-year journey of the ECNWM was also promoted, as well as the commemorative monograph, which includes numerous companies and figures who have been contributors throughout the 2 decades of the Chamber’s activity.
The event also served as a moment of appreciation for all member companies, founders, partners, President of the ECNWM Assembly, executive directors, supporters over the years, institutional collaborators, and Presidents of the Chambers. Meanwhile, Post Mortem gratitude was given to the deceased, as well as the media that supported the voice of an institution that would represent Albanian business, which at that time had a comprehensive vision that required nothing more than a level playing field for genuine competition in the domestic market.
The Executive Director of the ECNWM, Mr. Durim Zekiri, in his welcoming speech, expressed his gratitude to all the collaborators and partners who have contributed to the journey and successes of the Chamber over these 20 years.
The orchestra and choir of the National Еnsemble of Albanian folk dances and songs in the Republic of North Macedonia honored this event with their participation, with the song “Prej Tetove në Dibër”.
Twenty years later, ECNWM remains the same voice of business that was born from vision, courage and the need for worthy representation. Honoring the past and the contribution of the generations that shaped it, it continues to look forward with responsibility, ambition and faith in the potential of local business.
