Skopje, 16.09.2025 – At the premises of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, the Chamber’s leadership together with representatives from the Construction, Urbanism, Environment and Energy Cluster welcomed representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in a working meeting.
The Regional Waste Management Project in the Polog region was presented at the meeting, making it the first state-level initiative for sustainable waste management and an important step towards compliance with EU standards. The project, which will be implemented in Tetovo – Falishte, forsees the construction of a regional sanitary landfill according to European standards.
For the member companies of ECNWM, this project provides concrete opportunities for involvement in the design and construction phases, opening new perspectives for cooperation and investment.
ECNWM remains a bridge between public institutions and the private sector, ensuring that businesses are informed, prepared, and involved in initiatives of this kind. Through this mediating role, the Chamber not only provides its members with direct access to information but also contributes to strengthening public–private partnerships, in service of sustainable development, environmental protection, and the modernization of local infrastructure.
