01.07.2025, Skopje – The President of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, Mr. Qyra, together with the President of the ECNWM Assembly, Mr. Ejupi, the Executive Director, Mr. Zekiri, the Vice President, Mr. Tairi, and the members of the Managing Board, Mr. Kuchi and Ms. Selimi, welcomed in a meeting the President of the Alliance of Kosovar Businesses, Mr. Agim Shahini, along with members of the AKB Board.
The meeting focused on discussions regarding the removal of reciprocity for real estate purchases between the two countries, thereby exploring opportunities to strengthen economic cooperation, with particular emphasis on improving the business climate. The challenge of the lack of qualified workforce was also highlighted, emphasizing the need to design joint policies that support vocational education, thereby enabling the active inclusion of youth in the labor market.
Employer costs were another topic of discussion, particularly the high percentage of salary contributions in North Macedonia compared to other countries in the region, especially Kosovo.
Cooperation with AKB, a long-standing partner of the Chamber, continues to play a key role in efforts to strengthen economic ties between the two countries and promote the shared interests of the business community.
