22.09.2025 – The Executive Director of ECNWM, Mr. Durim Zekiri, the President of the Agriculture and Rural Development Cluster, Mr. Arben Halili, Ms. Egzona Aliu as a representative of the Tourism and hospitality cluster with the company Hotel Actor, and the Operations Manager, Miranda Ajdini, took part in the business meeting organized by the Government of North Macedonia, on the occasion of the visit of the delegation from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the meeting was to explore opportunities for cooperation with local companies as well as the potential that our country has for investments.
The meeting was opened with remarks by the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Mr. Hristijan Mickoski, emphasizing the Government’s priority for the country’s economic stability and the attraction of foreign direct investments, as well as the support for domestic investors.
The President and Executive Director of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Mohamed Ali Rashed Loutah, highlighted that the growing cooperation between Dubai and North Macedonia reflects the shared ambition to build sustainable economies and to foster sustainable development.
Representatives of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce expressed particular interest in several sectors of our economy, including energy, mining and minerals, agriculture, forestry and water supply, culture and tourism, as well as digital transformation.
During the meeting, the Executive Director of ECNWM, Mr. Zekiri, presented the role and activities of the Chamber, emphasizing its global orientation, cooperation with institutions such as the World Economic Forum, networking of member companies from European countries and the United States through our diaspora, as well as ECNWM contribution to the drafting of policies and reforms that support the improvement of the business climate in the country. He also highlighted the annulment of the Law on Solidarity Tax, which restores the confidence of potential foreign investors who are oriented towards North Macedonia.
The President of the Agriculture and Rural Development cluster, Mr. Arben Halili, presented the work and importance of this group in supporting agricultural producers and developing the rural sector. He underlined the great potential that agriculture has for increasing exports and strengthening the sustainable food chain, emphasizing that this sector offers concrete opportunities for cooperation with international partners.
Additionally, Ms. Egzona Aliu, representative of Hotel Actor and a member of the Tourism and catering cluster, presented the investment opportunities in the tourist destinations that North Macedonia offers, highlighting the significant potential of the country’s tourism sector for economic development and attracting foreign investments.
Based on sectors with development potential and institutional support, this partnership creates a sustainable platform for foreign direct investment, development of strategic sectors, and increased competitiveness of the country’s economy.
