Organizations and institutions, each in its own way, are unique in what they are determined to do,  adding here the reasons for their very existence. Since its inception in 2005, the ECNWM has taught society for fifteen consecutive years how uninterrupted growth is marked when it carries a comprehensive charitable mission on its shoulders.

Albanian business in our country is a unique example not only in North Macedonia, but its special type of rays have exceeded the geographical boundaries that for many have been and remain an inspiration. Given the social and economic circumstances of the time, including political ones, Albanian business in the former Yugoslavia and Macedonia was subjected to unfair treatment of the selective market by double standards. Meanwhile many of today’s businesses that in those days went through the privatization transition, we are today proud of the achievements of our companies that are no less than a result of sacrifice and unstoppable work in the face of all the obstacles and tricks we faced at the time.

When the Albanian business began to take the ascentbut also the dimension that belonged to it long ago, then the idea and desire to create an institution that will be a guardian and guide for the country’s businesses aroused and 2005 was exactly the year when the creation of such institution took place. On the business stage, the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia was presented, which was supported mainly by the Albanian businesses of the country, thus giving the message that our businesses were being strongly organized in order to obtain those rights and privileges that belonged to them, from which they had previously been deprived.

The promotion of our activity resonated and very quickly ECNWM became synonymous with what was once a myth and that  ” a genuine relevant institution of Albanians in Macedonia.” Activities, lobbying and the influence of the Chamber in the country, on political decisions that tangle the business, began to be part of everyday life in public. Many laws and regulations were influenced and changed as a result of the work of the Chamber in the framework of business assistance, and Albanian businesses in the country already have an address where they can knock for help and support.

Taking the helm of leadership as chairman on my part presented a privilege and honor given to me by the members and the steering committee. . It is not easy to be a descendant of two very successful presidents, as is the case with Mr. Xhemail Dautiand Mr. Menderes Kuçi. The burden and responsibility that fell on my shoulders was heavy because the very origin of the Chamber was in a sacred way and its establishment became simply for collective business rights and interests since then, today but also in the future will continue to remain the same.

Today, the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia represents about 2000 businesses that come from all sectors and categories, from all regions of the country and especially from areas with Albanian ethnic majority but with comprehensive trends without neglecting anyone. Locomotives of business promotion but also of protection, stimulation, improvement of the country’s economic direction.

In the framework of our activity, we call on all businesses, regardless of the sector, size and activity, to join the caravan of ECNWM. To grow as businesses and in parallel as an institution in order to realize our vision as business but also fulfilling our responsibility as a business towards society.

This year is a jubilee year for the Chamber because it represents the 15th anniversary of the establishment of our institution, and all these years are and will remain memoirs that will testify to the successes and results that came from the sacrifice made by all members of the Chamber, so without hesitation I want to express my gratitude and thank the founders for the goodwill, the will which brought the Institution to this stage where it is today.

I want to thank the membership for the trust given to me to continue with another term of mandate, assuring them that this term will also be successful and fruitful. I would also like to express my gratitude to the Executive staff of the Chamber, headed by the Director Drilon Iseni, who spare nothing of their energy and time for the Chamber, and who also responded to our every call and need with the highest enthusiasm.
