“Entrepreneur of the Year” encourages the spirit and entrepreneurship culture of the Republic of Macedonia through the promotion of successful entrepreneurs in the country. The same is held at the end of each year, with a final promotion of entrepreneurs of the most successful micro and small enterprises in the country.

The pre-selection for selection in the narrowest circle of “Entrepreneur of the Year” is made in line with the most important indicators for the growth of a micro and small enterprise, according to data from the Central Registry of Macedonia.

Event organizers, representatives of entrepreneurial organizations, civil society organizations and state institutions, by consensus and on the basis of defined criteria decide on the final choice of the best micro and small enterprises in the country.

For the first time, this event was organized in 2007.

The “Entrepreneur of the Year” Manifestation is organized annually. It aims to boost entrepreneurship in the country through the promotion of small and micro enterprises in the Republic of Macedonia. “Entrepreneur of the Year” identifies entrepreneurs who are constantly looking for opportunities and their use to generate profits, take risks and create innovations, those who have managerial skills and are oriented towards increasing their enterprise.

The main organizers of this event are the Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation (MRFP), the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia (ECNWM) and the Association of Macedonian Chambers of Commerce (SSK).

Co-organizer of the event is the National Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Learning (NCRIPU).
