April 18, 2019 – President of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia Mr. Nebi Hoxha attended the Sarajevo Business Forum which has now become a tradition and this year celebrated its tenth anniversary. The Sarajevo Business Forum counts as the most important business and investment event in Southeast Europe.

Mr. Nebi Hoxha took an active part in the forum by being part of the panel where he discussed the topic “Benefits of Wood and Furniture Industry Development”.

“The wood and furniture industry faces many challenges, such as competition from companies that copy furniture models and produce them at a lower price without paying taxes,” said Mr. Nebi Hoxha also emphasized that another problem facing this sector is also the lack of qualified labor force because our education system does not provide adequate education for increasing quality and innovation in wood processing. Digitization in the coming years will transform the furniture sector where its impact is still evident. ”

In this forum aimed at networking businesses, Mr. Nebi Hoxha also signed a memorandum which includes a platform to achieve mutual cooperation with Bosnia Bank International and hopes that this memorandum will provide benefits to ECNWM companies and hopes that this will be the basis for a long and successful cooperation.
