07 June 2017 – Economic Chamber of North – West Macedonia in cooperation with EPI Center, Chamber of information technology MASIT and the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, today organized a conference in the topic of “Current challenges of business community in the field of legislation” in the framework of USAID’s project “Partnership for a better business regulation”
The guests were welcomed by Mr. Lubomir Dimovaski, director of EPI CENTER International, who shortly presented the results from activities with small and medium size companies achieved through the implementation of the project. The guest were also greeted by the ambassador of the United States of America, Mr. Jess Baily.
During this conference there was discussed about three fields of legal regulations:
- Rights and obligations deriving form the Law on Environment and Urban Planning;
- Rights and obligations deriving from Tax and Customs Policy, and;
- Rights and obligations deriving from Labor Law and Collective agreements.
Info sessions that were held during the last month, were aiming to inform micro, small and medium – sized companies in Republic of Macedonia, in order to give instructions for easier implementation of legal regulation, through identification of different problems that derive from relevant regulations, as well as strengthening of public – private dialogue in terms of bringing better business regulation. Priority sectors in this four – year project are: agriculture, constriction, ICT sector, textile, tourism.
All participating companies had the opportunity to discuss and share their experiences with competent institutions that were present in this conference.
